The Minnesota Wild have stepped up their efforts to resign top scorer Marion Gaborik. Team President
and General Manager Doug Risebrough and assistant GM Tom Lynn have gone to Marion Gaborik's home town Trencin, Slovakia to hopes of ironing out a longterm contract. Gaborik's agent, Ron Salcer, says it was a smart move. If the two sides cannot agree on a contract extension it's possible that the Wild will trade him.
