1390 The Fan Sports News


The St. Cloud State men's hockey team beat #4 Denver 2-1 Saturday night to earn a sweep in the weekend series.  First year wing Travis Novak and defenseman Nicholas Rioux each scored their first collegiate goals to lead the Huskies to the win.  SCSU fell behind 1-0 but rallied to the win with Rioux scoring the game-winner just 1:48 into the 3rd period.  St. Cloud State improves to 7-4 overall and 2-3 in the WCHA.  The Huskies will host Wisconsin next Friday and Saturday nights.
